05: The Good Samaritan Pt. 1

“Excuse me I’m looking for Detective Carson. I understand she works at this precinct.”

“And what is your business with the Detective?”

“Oh, it’s a private matter. She’s kindly looking into a case for me and I am just curious if she’s come across new information is all.” The desk sergeant looked up into the eyes of the man and grunted as he pulled the receiver off the base punching in the number to the detective’s unit.

04: Don’t Lose Your Head pt. 4


Victoria found a folder waiting on her desk when she arrived. She turned the manila file around her hand a moment before letting it fall open on her desk. “Marie dropped that off for you,” Detective Franklin replied as he walked past her desk toward the break room.

“Thanks.” She took a seat and went over the information from the record. Ballistics noted nothing unusual about the bullets used on either victim but the same caliber as well as markings were found on bullets found at a crime scene some six years earlier. Forensics found a blue chalky substance on one of the doors leading into the back of the warehouse with no trace of where the matter originated. It was believed to have been left by the suspect or suspects. Teflon was noted as the material.

03: Don’t Lose Your Head pt. 3


Mike gained speed tossing his siren on the dash as he turned a corner and barely avoided hitting a parked car near a stop sign. He rushed through a four way stop into another intersection as drivers pulled off to the side to let him pass, moving quicker as he found a small area with less cars. “Do you know where you’re going?” Victoria asked as she held on for dear life around another corner.
