A 12-year veteran on the force, Michael Sean Rizzitello has a work ethic that is the envy of many. With a never say die, never back die attitude, he is usually the first person on a scene and the last to leave. He sees himself as the last voice of every victim he meets and works just as hard for everyone whether it be a bum on the street or an aristocrat of a dynasty. He approaches his job with the same drive and determination to get answers and bring closure to the families.

Mike graduated with honors from the Avondale Police Academy in 2002 at the head of his class. Since then he has been on the fast track to success making detective only two years after joining the force. His accolades include three Police Stars, Distinguished Service Medal and the Life-Saving Medal for his meritorious actions while in the line of duty. Though he is often partnered with Victoria Carson, he prefers working alone and has made that fact known on more than one occasion.

The victim of theft and a carjacking, Mike has made it his mission to stop crime where it lives. He hails from a small family of three that includes one brother (Benny) and one sister (Georgia), both younger and neither of which approved of his career choice. Still Mike finds pleasure in knowing he is helping make the streets a safer place for not only his own family but those in the community as well.
